Awesome camera!

 on June 12, 2017

I love this camera! I admit, it took me awhile to figure out placement but I got it and now I get to see all the wildlife I knew was there. I use just for fun, Im not really tracking anything. Dont follow the recommended placement of 4 to 5 ft!! You need the camera up over head…I just try to get as high as I can reach. Once you have it up (with a little slack in your tether) place a stick behind it, at the top, to make it tilt downward. This method worked for me the very first time I tried it. It also needs a fairly cleared out area. Ive found when I put it on the heavily wooded and thick brush paths, it gets too many false images. By false, I mean it snaps for no reason. Im thinking it must be leaves moving in the wind, bugs flying by or the occasional bird. The pictures are really good quality too…surprisingly so for the price. I bought 2 sim cards so that I could just swap one for the other instead of moving my locking tether. Just know that you have to buy at least one sim card because this doesnt come with one and wont work without one. Also, for the first 4 weeks, I stressed about the batteries and carried extra with me every time I checked the camera, due to some of the negative reviews I read on battery life. Fear not!!! I have been using this camera on the same set of batteries for two months now!!!

Great camera for the price

Best camera I’ve used yet. I put 12 batteries in it in Sept and it is now almost July and still taking pictures. I like the fact that it still works down to 4 degrees where my other cameras quit working in just the teens. Takes good pictures. Simple to use. Simple is good. Have not had a failure yet with it. Captured some awesome pictures of a bear that we didn’t know was around. I would definitely buy another one of these when I’m ready too.

so so

Had it now for 8 months. I have it set to take 5 pics upon motion and its supposed to rest 1 minute and then take 5 more pics if there is motion. Well the rest time is really more than 1 minute. I wish the rest time could be set to something less than 1 minute, like 30 secs. The good news is the batteries have lasted the entire 8 months I’ve had it and its taken over 3 thousand pics. it is sitting thru rain and snow, no problems there. The pics are not wide screen. it’s worth 50 bucks. I format the card each time after I view pics on my PC.

For Hunting areas/country folks

What an awesome camera and the SD cards saves a ton of images. This isn’t for professional night photography, as another reviewer said. This is the real deal for hunters and people like me who live in the country. We were trying to identify what was killing the neighborhood pets, figuring it was coyotes, but in fact, we captired a picture of a mountain lion, and that helped us track, catch and rehome him before he caused any more danger or was shot and killed by a neighboring hunter.

this is a great trail camera

While it has its limitations, this is a great trail camera. I wish we could control the timing on it a little more, but it works great and has helped us watch all the critters in our yard. That’s what we bought it for, but it also eases safety concerns a bit as well, as “game” is not the only thing to wander into its sights!

A very good value and performance machine.

For the money this is a fantastic performer. The opossums and raccoons don’t stand a chance now. The illumination button really makes the area you are watching light up on a dark night. A full moon is too much light for this optic though. But then again, you wouldn’t use them much on a bright moon night. The adjustments are easy to do with one hand once you get familiar with the placement of the buttons. It works better than I expected. I am very pleased.

Great Pictures!

I bought this for my Husband to use out back of our house…I am so glad that I did! He has gotten over 200 pictures in the first week and more than half were of deer! The others were a fox, some squirrels and some other animals that are in the forest that is on our property. Beautiful pictures came right up on the computer when he hooked up the camera. So glad that I made this purchase!

Clear images and video

As advertised. The image through the monoscope appears blurry, but when downloaded and viewed on the computer, it is in fact very clear and sharp. It weighs a bit though and strains the arm when holding it vertically for a long period of time. A tripod or some place to rest in on is necessary.
