Way better than average.
I wish I could give it 6 stars. I’m using this for a rental and it is AWESOME. For whatever reason it was unclear to me from the online description if there is a light visible by the human eye when night pictures are taken. This unit DOES NOT have a flash visible by humans at night. I have alkaline batteries in it and its still going strong after 2 months. Picture notification arrives on my Verizon mobile phone about a minute after they were taken. One feature that would be nice is a time block when the unit would not take any pictures. The best you can do now is 1hr after the last picture was taken. Also two thumbs up to Amazon on the “commonly purchased together” suggestions. You need a separately purchased SD card and for security I highly recommend the cammo cable lock amazon suggested. I plan on purchasing a 2nd one of these Trophy Cam’s for my rental business. The pay as you go cellular service (ONLY through AT&T) works great where the rental is located. But as stated earlier you can retrieve pictures from any other service (Verizon, TMobile, Sprint). I hope this helps you.
Great Picture Quality but no option to deal with weak Cell service!
Shipment was fast! Camera picture quality of operation was great but I had no signal with AT&T service. The major flaw with this camera is the inability to connect an external antenna. If you have no signal or a weak signal you are out of luck, period. I called Bushnell and they could offer no help but did say they would buy the camera back so that is the process I am doing now. I will buy another wireless cell trail camera but will be sure to find one that has the accessory of an external antenna, and/or the option to use another service beside AT&T. Verizon works better in my area. HCO Spartan cameras have all the features I mention. You can buy one that works with AT&T or Verizon. If you have Verizon service already you can add the trail camera for only $5 per month for 1,000 pictures. They also have several external antennas you can purchase if needed.
I’ll never go back to a traditional game camera.
Been using this camera for about a month. I am a hunter but bought it to use for security and surveillance on a new house we are building.
3 week review
I’ve had this camera for about 3 weeks. I was super excited to get it out in the field. Picture and video quality is great. It sends Wireless pictures within 10 seconds of taking them most of the time. Which it also sent video but does not. Disappointed in the video trigger speed. No glow doesn’t seem to be reaching out much further than 20 yards and it’s not picking up any movement beyond 20 yards. It worked great when I had it set up at my house picking up cars moving in the cul-de-sac and over 50 yards. I am going to have to play with this more maybe set the camera up higher and angle it down. I have a camera set on top of it doing video and the other night it never picked up a doe and two fawns right out in front of it. For the money it’s not worth it. I have an eight-year-old Bushnell that’s picking up deer 50 yards still.
